We are pleased to announce that Maroni Turismo has been awarded the three-year tender for the management of the famous tourist train by road in theUpper Camonica Valley and in the Ponte di Legno Tonale area, a key service for local mobility and the visitor experience.
For our road transport company, this is yet another milestone that confirms our ongoing commitment to transportation and tourism promotion in the Ponte di Legno Tonale area.
The little rubber train, purchased by theUnion of Municipalities of the Upper Camonica Valley, is not just a means of transportation, but a real attraction. It allows families, hikers and tourists of all ages to explore the most striking sights of the Upper Camonica Valley in a relaxed and scenic way.
After 15 years of service in the municipalities of Ponte di Legno, Temù, Vione, Vezza d’Oglio, Incudine, and sometimes in other Camuni villages (Edolo and Paspardo), the old little train has been replaced by theUnion of Municipalities by a new ultra-modern one in a classic style reminiscent of old steam trains, consisting of a locomotive and two carriages, with the potential to carry 38 seated adults. The last carriage is set up to transport a disabled person in a wheelchair.
